Frequently Asked Questions
Welcome to the oglio.com FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page. Below you will find answers to some of the most common questions we receive here at oglio.com. If this page does not answer your question, please feel free to email us at the address below.
How can I get on the Oglio mailing list for new releases?
The best way is to hit our new MAILING LIST PAGE. Rest assured we will not share this information with anybody else. We will only use the information to keep you updated on Oglio related events and releases.
Who distributes your products in the United States?
The Oglio Entertainment Group and our affiliated labels are distributed by Fontana (a division of The Universal Music Group). Visit www.fontanadistribution.com for ordering information.
Are your CDs or songs available as MP3 downloads?
We are a partner with Apple’s iTunes Music Store. Downloads are available through the iTunes Music Store. Some of our web pages have direct links to the iTunes Music Store.
I have a suggestion for a release. What are the chances?
We love your suggestions. Many of our releases do come from music fans that are looking for that hard to find record. Each suggestion is reviewed and perhaps one out of a hundred makes it to the licensing stage. Chances are that if you can't find it on CD, the master license owner doesn't want it out or simply wants too much money to license it.
I made my own CD and I would like Oglio to put it out. What should I do?
Oglio Records release schedule is packed at this time and we aren't looking at new projects. If you want to send in a sample, please feel free to do so. Send to:

I'm having trouble with my David Bowie & Bing Crosby Enhanced CD. Can you help?
I am sorry that you are having trouble with the Bowie & Crosby enhanced CD. Windows updates have made many Enhanced CDs formatted like the Bowie/Crosby CD unreadable. Typically the disc appears to be just an audio CD instead of an enhanced CD. We are not alone with this problem; Microsoft's changes have left many multimedia Enhanced CDs in the same boat (Rolling Stones included).
Oglio has addressed this problem with an updated CD. If the CD you are having trouble with has RED and WHITE printing on the CD, it can be substituted for the new version that has BLUE/GREEN and WHITE printing on the CD. The BLUE/GREEN and WHITE version was updated in November 1998 to work with all versions of Windows and Macintosh available up to that date.
To receive the update send $2.00 to cover postage and handling along with your old CD (just send the CD, not the case) to: Bowie & Crosby Disc Update, PO Box 404-BB Redondo Beach CA 90277.

If all of this is too much work, you should be able to take the CD back to the place of purchase for a refund. I appreciate your support of our products and again, I am sorry for the trouble.
Why don't you release another 80s compilation?
The compilation business is very tough, especially the 80s business. When Oglio got started in the compilation business in 1992 there were three or four other collections in the 80s section. Now the 80s sections has over a hundred different titles! Oglio stirred up alot of interest and other labels caught on fast.
The last few compilations that we brought to retail were greeted with "oh no, not another 80s collection!" We even received a copy of a memo sent to the entire music industry stating that a certain retailer was not buying any more 80s collections until the ones crammed in their bins sold. At this time there is just not enough sales potential to justify putting together another compilation.
What happened to SEX-O-RAMA Volume #1?
SEX-O-RAMA Volume #1 was a limited edition item and is no longer in print. We do not have any copies left here at our offices but you may have some luck checking with retailers in your area.
Volume #2 is in stores or at www.coolcds.com. If you would like to order one direct from us you can call 1-800-COOL-CDS with a credit card or you can order it on line at: http://www.coolcds.com
I have heard that Oglio released a Men Without Hats 2 for 1 CD. Where can I get it?
Oglio released the Men Without Hats "Rhythm of Youth/Folk of the '80s" 2 for 1 CD outside the USA in mid-February 1997. It has not been sold in stores, mail order only. We are still trying to get permission to release it in the USA and Canada. Still no word yet.
CMC International released the companion CD in Europe called "The Best of Men Without Hats." This CD is esentially the same thing but with different artwork and slightly fewer tracks.
If you are outside the USA or Canada I can sell you one of Oglio's directly. Otherwise, you must find it as an import or buy it from a friend overseas. For those outside North America: The CD is $15.98 US dollars + $6 US dollars shipping. I suggest a credit card for the best exchange rate. Second best would be an international money order made out in US Dollars.
